Why did I loose most of my gems?

Please help me I had 87 gems but when I leveled up I lost most of the, now I have only 13 I don't know why and it is very frustrating can someone tell me how to get them back or maybe how it happened? Please help

Sadly,you can't get your gems back. If you accidentally purchased something (don't know if you did),you won't be able to get them back.
