Stoping double posts.

Double posts are annoying. And can get you banned. So I have an idea that exterminates this species. So example, the said person will make the initial post, when he post the second (doublepost) post, it will merge with the initial post he made.

There are many ways to counter double-posting. I've never seen nor heard of this method before, and the programming behind it would be very complex anyways.

Here are other ways to stop double-posting (that require common sense, rather than impulse):

• Use the "Edit" button below your post, and add to your existing post instead.
• Wait for someone else to respond, then post.
• A plug-in that may work would be that of a timer (once you post you have to wait a solid minute before posting), however this also has drawbacks.

In short, this idea would not work. The programming behind such a plugin would be very complex, and even then it would be pointless for it to be issued to a forum with just over 1,500 members (especially if you consider the more popular forum populations boom far into the millions).
