Rabid's Bunch O' Suggestions

So, how are my suggestions?

This is just a list of things that I feel PG should incorporate into their game. (Like around 5 for now)

If the poll says that you guys like this more than you hate it, I will just send these suggestions to Rilisoft. If it goes the other way around, I won't. (The poll ends in a week from now)

Feel free to comment on these ideas.

1. Buff the Simple Shotgun
The weakest weapon in the game is perceived by many beginners to be a strong and reliable weapon. This is true when it comes to engaging monsters in the early levels of the campaign, but it needs to be buffed some more to the point that it can kill an unarmored player in 3 shots (or 2 well placed headshots) so that it somewhat matches the strength of a shotgun.

2. Large Team Battle
This is not your regular average everyday team battle. This is...a large team battle. (I apologize if you found this cringe worthy) While I think that most of the multiplayer maps in PG do not support battles with more players, but the Deadly Games maps certainly do, so what I think would be a good idea is to add a 12v12 Team Battle mode on Deadly Games maps, which would be a great idea in my opinion.

3. Add Team Leaders
This is something which I think will encourage players to embrace teamwork more. The team leader would be the highest level player in each respective team. (It can be randomly picked depending on the conditions. like if everyone else is lvl 24 or 25 but two people in the team are borh lvl 26) The team leader gets 1.5x more xp per match through capturing objectives and kills, but the team leader is also given added responsibilities. He/she has the power to issue orders, like ordering players to stay at a certain place and/or making them attack a specific location. These orders may not be followed by the players, but they will not receive 1.5x more points by following the orders. Also, by staying within what I call the range of the leader (around a 4 meter radius is enough) players will have a random stat boosted by 50% as long as they are staying in this radius.

4. Back To Basics
This mode is going to be a regular team battle on any team battle map, except that every player has no gear or armor, and the only weapons they have are the basic ones. There are no killstreaks, either. (This is further elaborated in the last suggestion) This mode will encourage players to work together to take out foes faster with such weak weapons, and will also be a challenge for everyone.

5. Killstreaks
Call Of Duty is probably the first thing that comes up in your mind when you hear this. (If you know what I mean) Anyway, in COD, this is how killstreaks work: When you get 3 kills in a row, you get a UAV. 5 kills in a row lets you call for a care package while 7 kills lets you call in an attack helicopter to mow down enemies. I think it will be a good idea to incorporate this into PG. (although mechs, turrets and potions will turn into killstreak rewards rather than pickups) I will post more details about this suggestion some time.

So, what do you guys think?

Ok... Nice...

Yey....

The thing is, your members won't follow your orders cuz they're id!ots.

This would be challenging, and awesome.
5. Killstreaks

Cool! Rewards for killstreaks. Yay.

Yeah, but the added reward of extra xp will entice players to follow what the leader says, since all players want xp to level up, unless some of these players are really as dumb as you say.

Okay...so...I agree with most of your points but...I feel like the Large Team battle thing would lag way too much. Otherwise, these are very good ideas.

These ideas are pretty good. I certainly agree with your 4th suggestion. Basically a Classic mode. Just add back the classic maps, and classic guns, and this mode will definently bring back the veterans of PG3D, and probably give a breath of life to this dying forum. The leader system will definently help lighten the community. By cooperating, everybody will feel like they did something important to contribute to the team, therefore making the chat be filled with compliments like "Good Job guys!" Or "You did great!". And people will be able to make more friends that way to. But some things I disagree with is having a 12v12 team battle. Like everybody else says, it could lag for people with older devices. Also, since a large part of the community spams, if you had about 9 or more people with spamming weapons like the Smart Bullet Bazooka, Mines Launcher and the Infamous Trapper, it would just ruin the fun. Also the team battle stat boost. We already have capes and boots that increase your stats. But a 50% boost will just make killing waay to hard. We can't have 24/7 hoppers jumping higher than a skyscraper. And we can't have people running as fast as Sonic the Hedgehog. Nevertheless, your ideas should definently be used.

Well, everything has pros and cons, but let me see what I can do.

Alright, so here is another list of suggestions that I came up with. (By the way, the poll isn't gonna end at all)

NOTE: Scott's comment prompted me to change the way the leader radius mechanic works. Instead of getting a 1.5x stat boost from staying in the radius, players will rack up 1 xp every 3 seconds as long as they are in the radius. Also, instead of a 12v12 battle, it will be a smaller 8v8 battle to sort of even things out, but I don't really know.

I'll post details about killstreak awards in the next post, then maybe one geared towards grenades after.

I'm lazy, so I only made 3 suggestions for this post:

1. Weapon Recoil
If you are reading this and have absolutely no idea about what recoil is, recoil is the knockback you feel when you shoot a gun. There is a recoil animation in PG, but it doesn't really affect any aspect of a certain weapon's performance. I think that if recoil was really implemented into the way weapons worked, the game will be more challenging and people won't be able to spam since recoil will greatly affect the accuracy of shots.

2. Mini Map
The mini map is a gps-like aspect of HUD in many first person shooters that shows a view of the map from above, and enemies and allies are represented by different colors to help you distinguish the positions of your team and the opposing team. For my idea of a mini map in PG, the mini map won't directly be on the hud but can be opened by touching an icon above the circle pad, and it will then fill a majority of the screen. This explains why the mini map should never, ever be used when in the open because you might be killed as you are analyzing the mini map. The mini map will directly show you the locations of your teammates, but enemies will only be shown when they fire their weapons. I think this will make the game more tactical and more team-oriented, and will help players be more friendly towards each other.

3. On the cooking of grenades:
RABID ARE YOU STUPID NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD GET A FRYING PAN AND COOK A GRENADE ON IT
That's not what it means. When you cook a grenade, you are not frying it. It means that you pull the pin of the grenade and wait for a while before you throw it to ensure that the grenade goes off before your enemies can scram. While you can cook a grenade in PG, it does not actually change the time it takes for the grenade to explode and it will not explode in your hand. I think cooking a grenade in PG should enable players to time their throws so that they get their grenade to explode at the right time, but if they cook it too much, the grenade will explode in their hand.

So, what do you guys think?

Oh! I really like those other 3 ideas! Mainly because I used to play Call of Duty...but still! I think those are really good!

Nice. I agree with most of these ideas. But the mini-map seems kinda useless, I'm pretty sure everybody knows the ins and outs of each map. They aren't really designed to be complex. But if Rilisoft decides to make more complex, and larger maps, yea, the Mini Map would be a huge help. The grenade cooking suggestion is good too. Also we should have a limit of how many grenades we carry. Some people have so many, they spam them. The recoil suggestion, yes and no. Recoil is in the game, but each weapon has their own recoil. When fired continuously, the crosshairs get bigger, and the bullets spread more further out. The most notable weapon with huge recoil spread are the Dual Hawks and the Dual Machine Guns. Rilisoft has nerfed some OP weapons like the Laser Minigun with recoil. In the past, this weapon was easy to use, it had no recoil whatsoever. But I like these suggestions, keep 'em coming!
