I've noticed that Mojang is getting copyright for crazy things like the gold sword weapon in pixel gun was renamed to golden sword to prevent copyright issues and I've seen other games with weapons named "golden sword"

Check this link and read the article http://pixel-gun-3d.wikia.com/wiki/Golden_Sword
I can understand this because this minecraft is the first game I've seen with endermen and diamond swords (read these articles) http://pixel-gun-3d.wikia.com/wiki/Crystal_Sword
http://pixel-gun-3d.wikia.com/wiki/Parallel_Runner

I'm on both sides here.. I do understand that Enderman was a name and mob created from mojang.. But diamond and golden? Your have gotta be kidding me.. Diamond is already a word and golden..

Really Mojang should be able to copyright what they made as long as it is original to their game

PixelGun3d should be able to use the names diamond and gold pre fixes to weapons
And Mojang should be able to copyright stuff such as endermen and ghasts

And also, why did they make psg3 change their bow green?
Copy right issues read the article but this is different the bow when it was brown looked exactly like the bow in minecraft
http://pixel-gun-3d.wikia.com/wiki/Simple_Bow

Also even if we tried to create a petition to revert the changes we probably don't have enough active members to get enough signatures to revert the changes
(Bow being green, golden prefix instead of gold, crystal instead of diamond)

Hmm... Mojang is going copyright crazy... Soon we will not be able to type out minecraft without being sued!

Yes and I wonder why amount doesn't send people to search up fakes of minecraft. I mean it's so easy to find a fake minecraft online.
There's no point, because the fakes are making tons of money. If they were to make the amount that pixel gun makes, then they'd actively search those fakes out

So like King doesn't let anybody put the word candy in their game title anymore?

The copyright stuff really shouldn't be a bother for anyone here. Yes, they've renamed and remodeled several things to avoid infringement, but I see no problem here. It hasn't affected gameplay at all, just the naming and appearance of things.

In short, why are we making such a big argument about a company making changes to appearance and naming to avoid getting their company shut down by a much bigger, more popular company?

They can copyright stuff like mobs they can copyright names but they can copyright (for example the design of a pig) they don't copyright the name they copyright what it looks like... The word "Golden Sword" is un able to copyright but how Mojang designs a golden sword of how it looks is copyrighted so in conclusion if it was called a golden sword thats ok but if it is a golden sword identical to the Mojang design is copyrighted
