Hello,
In this thread you can talk about your Instrument, how you like it, how long you play it already, etc.

Well, i own a clarinet and play it already 5 years. It was given to me when i was a fifth grader. We had the choice to vote for our favorite instruments after we tried them all out (trombone, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone and flute) Unfortunately i got a clarinet instead of a saxophone. :pensive:

Don't call me Thaddeus ._.

I wonder if there's more musicians here! ;)

I did piano for 3 years now I moved onto drums. Being doing that for nearly a year. My favourite music is dubstep/glitch hop/drumstep/electro ext

Am currently a bass player, been playing since 8th grade, so about 5 years. Not the best at it, but I can play it pretty well.

Played recorder for a year in 4th grade, have't touched it since. :tongueout:

I mainly play piano, as I've been doing it for 12 years now. I'm also level eight in the Certificate of Merit exam for piano. In addition to that I played the drums (five years, currently in the snareline for drumline), took up clarinet for a few months (quit because I'm not the best with wind instruments) and the guitar (quit learning also because laziness).

Got my acoustic bass this Christmas, and I've been getting back into learning bass guitar more. I've also been experimenting with playing bass with a pick (currently using a plastic one that my dad got from The Jeff Healey Band when they were doing a concert near where he lived). I love using the pick on the bass, however my problem is the scratchy feedback from strumming the chords on the bass. I hope to get a felt pick for this thing, just because I've begun to really like using a pick, and because felt picks create a softer sound (near the equivalent of playing bass with fingers). Also need to get a soundhole cover for my acoustic bass (so that I don't get violent feedback from the monitors while on stage).

Thinking to even take bass guitar lessons in the coming summer after I've graduated, just to advance my skills. Perhaps when I get older I'l finally go for a solid-body bass (because you can have a lot of fun with effects on those things).

I notice the majority of us are pianists/have had experience with the recorder. Wish there were more guitarists on here. :pensive:

I did play a little bit of harp when I was younger along with my brother. But I didn't play it for very long.I am in a organization choir called 'Young Voices'(or Voices of Indiana) with my brother. And I really want to know how to play the drums and would like to get a set of them this year(which my dad said maybe).
Edit: forgot to say I can play the potato(no,it's not an actual potato,it's referring to the shape:tongueout:)Ocriana. But i still need a little practice on it.
