An Arrow in the Knee

This is basically a thread to suggest slowness effects from certain weapons if you shoot the right spot.
1. Bow, Magic Bow, Crossbow: if you shoot a player in the knee with one of these, they get a slowness effect for a full minute, or until they die.
2. Secondary Handguns: If you shoot the legs with this weapon, it gives a slowness effect for 5-7 seconds.
3. Energy Weapons. This would paralyze the target in place for 2-3 seconds, barely able to turn and shoot. It would make aiming at a distance very difficult if it would also shake the camera up a little. This would be very useful in Sniper Maps.

Of course, to balance this out it out the player would take 75% damage from shots in this area from these weapons.
Also, there could be a 15% chance to take no damage and slowness, assuming it goes to what could plausibly be between the legs or to the sides. This could be reduced to 5% for the area damage weapons.

So with this added? It can add another use for the bow's, secondary weapons and energy weapons.

If the rest of the game wasn't as prone to killing in seconds, it MIGHT work. IMO, the rest of the game needs to be more skill than weaponry for this to be a good addition :tongueout:
Perhaps to balance this out even more it would take a few seconds to change weapons between slots.

The bow and energy ones could work, but the handguns shoot too fast for their effect to even be useful.

A Minecraft/TF2 like bow physics work. I don't even think archers have that arm strength.

Why not? I mean, the player's strength is strong enough the standard bow is stronger then the standard sniper rifle. Seems to be strong and powerful enough to shatter the bones in the knees.

Don't even tell me about that terrible joke. Just that physics is better than trying to add hitboxes to the player. And when I mean that, I ment arrows going in straight line just as fast as the bullets. That's what I mean by abnormal arm strength.
