Ways To Bring 7.3.0 Back

I guess my hint at sarcasm wasn't strong enough. Or are you being sardonic aswell?

Either way, thread is slowly derailing.
I feel like complaining will get us nowhere, and making a thread just like all the others that beg and plead for earlier versions is pointless. Rilisoft isn't going to change anything.
If you were going for sarcasm, your shot landed about 10 meters away from that towards seriousness.

Either way though, you are right, the thread is derailing, complaining generally gets nowhere when its the fans vs the devs (unless the devs are really attentive toward their fanbase, but that's a rarity these days), and asking for an earlier version....sometimes it works. There have been fans in the past that realize the developers errors, and decide to take matters into their own hands by forming a crowd-based modding/developer group who go out of their way to recreate a version of a game before it got all out of hand (Star Wars Galaxies is a big project in this regard, same with the PC port of Burnout: Paradise, among other games).

True enough though, we may have to face facts, RiliSoft won't do a thing about it.

Sooo.... we got any mobile developers who would be willing to uphold such a project?

Hmm...
I have a friend with a saved file of every pixel gun update. Somehow he is able to play pixel gun on pc and can play any version he wants, and idk if he can convert the files to play on a mobile device.

Essentially, the way the project would break down is this:

We use the 7.3.0 update, and ask RiliSoft if they would still host servers for 7.3.0. If that's possible, 7.3.0 gets distributed freely, everyone's happy.

OR

We band together on the forum as one, bearing a clan tag named [7.3.0], and go into servers with no armor/original weapons, in hopes to bring rise to our cause. (I'm all for this alternative btw, it would act as a little slice of heaven for us all)

OR

We build the game from the ground up as a separate game, but the style is heavily like 7.3.0 Pixel Gun 3D.

I believe the servers are still running for those who didnt update. It would be easier if Rillisoft made options to choose which version to play on. Maybe like a one time only i guess. The servers from what i know for 7.3.0 are still running.

If that be the case, then perhaps we could have a system like Minecraft has? They have an MCPatcher that lets you up/downgrade your game to any version you like, why not implement said patcher for Pixel Gun 3D?

Then again, I guess if we had a patcher in the game, the filesize for the game itself might expand (considering it would carry over all assets from previous versions, lots of textures there). I suppose a simple "7.3.0 or 9.1.0" option would be best then.

Maybe that option to downgrade or upgrade could be in the App Store, that way you can change the version without overloading the memory too much on a device

Maybe, but then the App Store would have to do it to ALL apps.

Mmm, not quite the way were headed with this topic:

We were thinking either to take the old 7.3.0 version of Pixel Gun 3D, and either releasing it so the game is good again, or make a game from the ground up and rebuild it with the functionality of 7.3.0, but under a completely different title with different graphics/textures.

If people made Pixel Gun 3D 7.1.0 Wouldn't Rilisoft sue them? They didn't make the game.

Hmm, have you tried to ask him if he can?

Hence why I said the other option would be to build a game from the ground up, with the same mechanics as 7.3.0 PG3D, but without the designs and textures.

I say we do that! why waste time begging Rillisoft to fix the game when we all know deep down that they don't listen. if they did then why is their still mechs, op weapons, and gems?

Actually, there was never a 7.3.0, unless you mean't 7.1.1 (the fun and balanced one)
