The Star Wars Thread

Hey guys,

So, not too sure if many people know of this, but I am a big fan of Star Wars (like, who isn't these days?). So, I've decided to simply start up a thread where we can all discuss stuff Star Wars related. Anything NOT in relation to Star Wars will be removed from this thread, so check twice before ya post! :tongueout:

Anyways, where to start off? How about Star Wars: Rebels! So, if anyone's a fan of everything else Star Wars, you already probably have an opinion on the show released by Disney XD, featuring lots of callbacks to Ralph McQuarrie's concept work for the original trilogy (if you don't know that name, you are not truly a Star Wars fan in my opinion). It's a bit childish, however I have a feeling after the recent episode (Rise of The Old Masters), they might be willing to take a few liberties with this series, especially since they've already approved a second season for the show.

Anyways, how about we start the discussion here. What are your thoughts on Star Wars: Rebels?

For anyone who hasn't watched the series/seen the latest episode yet:

Who else doesnt want to know the alternate ending if anakin won in mustafar?
The whole universe could have changed, no obi wan to help the babies and no luke to save the day. Its very interesting.

While alternate realities would be interesting, the discussion on that would be too big to fill the thread. :tongueout:
My guess? Anakin finds his children somehow, Luke becomes a Sith Acolyte, Leia becomes a Rebel possibly, though if Organa was killed off earlier, then it would most likely pan out so that Leia becomes apart of the Empire, growing up in her real father's shadow.

Anyways, I could go 100 different ways on that, but I'd rather save that for something else. Anyone want to discuss about something else? Perhaps the fact Disney renounced ALL Star Wars things (except for the films, The Clone Wars, and Rebels) as non-canon?

Anyone thoughts on The Force Unleashed?
Well, LucasArts CEO at the time cancelled the third one before it could go into production, and with Disney's removal of all original EU material, TFU is most likely dead to them now. Unless Disney plans to reboot the entire TFU franchise in 10 years time with whatever stuff they've made at that point.

Star Wars Rebels was indeed quite childish for the first season, (I THINK... I've only seen 4.5 episodes) but in season 2 and 3 it gets into more "notable" events and characters (maul is back!). I still think the CW was a little better though. ONLY a little.

Eh, it has gotten better over the seasons IMO. It won't top Clone Wars I don't think, but it has become one of my favourite shows in the fall lineup that I look forward to every year.
