The mines launcher...

The mines launcher, I hate this thing more than the storm hammer. Here's why. So lets say you have a Marksman UP1, you're getting a bunch of kills and then this guy comes in with a mines launcher. You're screwed. The projectiles are physical so your bullets will hit the mines if he/she is shooting at you, the projectiles throw you everywhere, knocking you back, left, right and centre and slowly erases your health. This weapon doesn't do a lot of damage but is actually good at beating a hammer spammer if you're in a small alleyway.

Now this weapon was uncommon, like you would see one once every 7 games. But for some reason, at lower levels this weapon all of a sudden spiked up in number of players using it. If 10 people are in a game, 4-5 of the players would have it. Eh? Did it get buffed? Was there a price change? How did an uncommon weapon all of a sudden become a very common one? Any idea's?

Most are spamming the weapon as much as possible, as it seems to throw players off balance, not giving them time to aim and shoot. In my opinion, it needs to be nerfed, perhaps slowing down the fire rate may help.

The RoF is the problem like you said. This weapon does not give you a chance to fight against it and even from extreme ranges. The projectiles will only explode near a player or if there is no player, explode after 3 seconds. And these projectiles do go quite far. So that RoF needs to be cut down a bit.
 
It's only weakness is laser weapons, as soon as you see or even hear it being used get your prototype or even better laser bouncer and shoot on sight

Prototype seems nerfed to me. It took me two head shots to kill an iron armoured player. This won't be any good against someone constantly spamming the Mines Launcher.

You could use the weapons that shoot fire or constant beams like freeze-ray rifle or dragon's breath or solar-ray rifle or vacuumizer

Maybe you are shooting players with that Skeleton Cape that makes them survive Headshots from the Prototype. Or lag...
Your second headshot...I think you could have probably finished that player with a few shots with your Primary Weapon instead.
