Alright, I'm gonna let out my constructive criticism over this topic. Don't start a flame war over this. Act maturely, as well. Here we go...
[Game]
I don't like the game for many reasons. First of all, the game just doesn't have the appealing look/feel to it. It is, on a practical level, the equivalent of a flash-browser based horror game. This basically means that it has so little that you can practically play it straight from a browser. Second, not scary. You sit in a ''box'' room, and look left and right. You have 4 buttons that you need to tend to, and the worst parts are the jumpscares. It's repetitive and just gets incredibly boring after short periods of time. Third, the game is overrated. Compared to other ''higher-quality'' horror games that have been released over the years, this one has received the most attention for some apparent reason.

Stuff like this is a HUGE no-no. I see this type of stuff everywhere I go, and considering that the majority of the fandom consists of kids, it's kind of disturbing to think that kids are thinking of these kinds of things. I do understand that most fandoms have these types of things, but I've noticed an excessive amount in the FNAF fandom.
This, and there are kids nowadays who don't know the first thing about horror-gaming. For example, I remember this one time I went to my taekwondo class and all these kids around the age of 9 were huddled around one kid who was playing FNAF on his phone. He was talking about how he was brave and all that and acting ''cool'' in front of his friends. I asked all of the kids if they knew any other games like Amensia/Outlast/Silent Hill. All of them just said ''what's that'' while laughing. *facedesk again*

[YouTubers]
Oh, boy. Again.
YouTubers are just getting carried away with the whole thing. I haven't played any horror games in AT LEAST 2 years, yet I didn't even flinch the slightest when a jumpscare occured. The YouTubers, who play horror games almost everyday and for a living, practically scream at the top of their lungs over the smallest jumpscares. There was even one guy who FELL OUT OF HIS CHAIR, and his channel was practically FILLED to the brim with horror games. I've played horror games as a kid for a long time, and I've gotten used to horror-related things by the age of 10/11. These YouTubers are grown adults who play horror games all the time, but I kind of find it suspicious that they don't get used to them in the SLIGHTEST. They obviously seek subs/views/comments/likes/fame. One person said that it's just different people and their preferences, but isn't it kind of ironic that pretty much every POPULAR YouTuber gets scared this easily?

That's all. Feel free to agree/disagree with my post, but don't reply just to call me a ''hater'' or whatever. Put up a decent discussion, please. Thank you.
Interesting and detailed post you got there.
For the first part, this game is not a normal horror game (except part 3 have more elements of stress and horror), it belongs to the indie genre, so the experience of definitely different from any others.
The goal of the game is not exactly to scare you with the jumpscares, like many horror games and movies, it rather focus on horror element to make the jumpscare surprising and somewhat scary.
The biggest plus for this game is the story and the interesting lores behind it, also the simplicity and the main element is fun. So it easily became a trend, and of course, youtubers do trends. Love it or not, they do earn more popularity.

New teaser! This one features what appears to be Springtrap in a chair, with a short message and a window above him, but, upon brightening the picture...

A hidden hallway with doors is revealed! What do you guys think of this new teaser? What do you think "terrible things" and "small packages" refer to in the message?

EDIT: Apparently, some people looked in the source code and found this text: “Cyh gvh gpe”, which they translated to "Plushtrap". How they got this answer and what decipher they used remain a mystery. For all we know they could have just guessed.

Hmm... Small packages huh?
Remember the first teaser with Freddy? He has those tiny version of him, perhaps suggesting that those little scrubs are also threatening.... Just maybe...

Well, someone looked in the source code and found a hidden, scrambled message (“Cyh gvh gpe”) which they translated to "Plushtrap". However, the person could have just guessed for all we know.

I'm like 5 DAYS LATE of posting this. But I'm gonna do it anyway...

NFB might refer to:
Nightmare Fred Bear
Not Fred Bear
No Fred Bear
Not ****** Bb (I found this, and laughed my butt off)

OOOH, sounds cool

The FNAF 4 trailer has been released! What do you guys think? I think it looks really sweet because it takes place at a house! Whose house do you think it belongs to?

Interesting, but the graphics are somewhat weird, but I understand that it's just a trailer (that bonnie jumpscare though...). There is a rumor that the game will launch in August, and an "extension" pack in October. Is this true?

Interesting trailer. Kind of curious for the unique layout of a house being the new playing field for Freddy and his gang. I am curious as to how the mechanics are going to work (as in, will you even be able to move from room to room, or will you have all the action happening close to your bedroom/have security cameras?)

The texture clash from the house to the animatronics though doesn't seem to match up quite right though, considering the almost poorly made house textures clash with the more heavily detailed and worn animatronics. Hopefully that art style gets a revamp though, but then again, indie games. :tongueout:

Rule 34 is on every fandom. Nothing that we can do about it sadly.
But THESE 10 YEAR OLDS REPRESENT YOUR GODDAMN "Fandom". Plus the game wasnt even interesting from the start. If you a real horror game, go play a EA game! The only fnaf game that was actually horrifying Was five nights at f***boys.

Ay lamo.

What I usually do when a new fnaf game is released

1.pirate the game cuz I don't have money and a credit card to buy it

2. I won't play it

3. I'll let my cousins play it and laugh my butt off at their screams when a jumpscare happens

I came up with quite an interesting theory, but it does reveal spoilers of the ending to those who haven't seen it yet and want to play the game for themselves, so spoilers ahoy.
At the end, the game reveals that the child YOU play as is the victim of the Bite of '87, which has been the main talking point of the game since the very start, in one of the Death Minigames, a man in a Fredbear suit appears to be helping you escape from the animatronics, after your brother left you at the restaurant after closure. In the last scene (disincluding Night 6), your brother and his friends put you inbetween Fredbear's jaws, which lead to your head being crushed. Now, let's go back to the original FNaF, in the news article, it says FOUR CHILDREN were lured in to the toilets and murdered by a man in a GOLDEN FREDDY COSTUME, now, go back to the last scene, including your brother and his friends, there were FOUR CHILDREN, the man in the costume who was trying to help you was wearing a Fredbear, which is almost identical to the Golden Freddy, some fans going as far to say that Fredbear IS Golden Freddy, so would the man in the Fredbear suit be exacting revenge on the fiends who eternally scarred, physically and mentally, the small boy/your character? Also, the boy's brother I believe is wearing the Foxy mask, would his punishment, as he orchestrated the boy's injury, to be hidden away from the public while his friends were adored by children? I am a bit unsure on this one, since the color of the text appears to match the color of the mask, and I had a bit of trouble deciding whether he was Foxy or Freddy.

Very interesting theory Mint. I like it!

Also, me and Meownette were chatting on Skype about the resemblance between the kid you play as in FNAF 4 and the Marionette. We think the kid's spirit lives on in the Marionette.

(I know this is a double post but I don't see the need to combine the two because neither one counts towards messages since it's in OTL)
The final teaser.

There is nothing hidden in the background. This is the end.
