This is the official thread for the hit iOS MOBA game, Vainglory. Here, you can discuss anything Vainglory related. I know a few members that play Vainglory here, and I highly recommend you start playing. It's on the verge of becoming big possibly because there are lots people who hold tournaments, and there was a recent international semi-finals one between a Korean team, and I believe an American team. You can even sign up for tournaments and you will be able to win ICE and real money. ICE is the premium currency in the game (don't worry, this game isn't P2W). Money, well...that's self-explanitory.

Vainglory is a free 3 v 3 MOBA game perfected for mobile devices (this includes practically no lag whatsoever, even with amazing graphics). The goal of the game is simple: Destroy 5 turrets guarding the enemy base and destroy their crystal before they destroy yours. You have a large amount of characters you can choose from, all of which have their own unique set of abilities. Every character is useful for something. Of course, not all the characters are free. You have to buy most of them but you're in luck, because every week, you can play a different set of characters for free. The set rotates with other characters every Tuesday (see? Not P2W.). In the match, you have minions that assist you in the battle, and you also have minion mines + a gold mine minion that can give you the upper advantage if owned. At the 15 minute mark, the gold mine minion is replaced with a giant, blubbery fish that didn't have it's balanced breakfast (a.k.a the Kraken). If you capture the Kraken, she will fight for you and absolutely demolish turrets (maybe even the crystal itself) until she inevitably dies due to enemy heroes killing her.

You have 3 special abilities which you can use. The first 2 are basic, while your final ability is the ultimate move. This is usually something that deals a lot of damage. The buttons for these are in the bottom center. You have a cooldown time, so you can't use them all the time.

You have your shop at your base, and you also have a shop at the bottom-center of the jungle. You can use these to buy upgrades at any time. (There is also the enemy shop at the enemy base, which is inaccessible.)

The turrets do MASSIVE amounts of damage, so don't approach those unless there are minions nearby, because turrets aim to kill minions before they kill heroes (which is a huge plus).

Jungle monsters + enemy minions can be killed in order to level up and/or collect money (for upgrades in the shop).

The Lane is where is the main action goes down. It's the long road at the top of the map.

The Jungle is used for sneaking to the enemy's side for a tactical advantage, taking Minion Mines, taking the Gold Mine/Kraken, and sneak-attacking enemy heroes.

Spawn times lengthen as the match progresses.

The team to hit the Kraken last is the one that captures her. NOT the team that deals the most damage. Use this to your advantage.

There isn't only one Kraken. Every 5-10 minutes, a new Kraken spawns in the center. Keep an eye out for her after the 20:00 mark (assuming a team already capped and used the first one).

Pay attention to your character roles. They define your position. For example, Ringo is best used in the lane, so that's where he would excel.

Use the chat icons (top left) + the signal symbols (top right, above mini map) to your advantage. You can also use signal symbols on the mini map for quickly marking an area.

If you put your finger on the mini map, your camera will fly over to that area and show you live surveillance of said area.

Use the first icon in the bottom right of your play screen to teleport home. NOTE: You need to stay undamaged for 5 seconds in order to successfully teleport back to your base.

Use the second icon in the bottom right to learn about your character's abilities. This comes in handy so that you know which skills you want to ugprade using your skill points.

Use the third icon in the bottom right to see the scoreboard. This lists things such as the amount of time people (this includes enemy heroes) have before they respawn, the type of upgrades they bought (again, this applies to enemy heroes as well), and more. Use this to your tactical advantage.

Use the fourth icon in the bottom right to quickly access the shop. NOTE: You need to be near a shop in order to buy upgrades, otherwise you're just looking at what kind of upgrades are available to you.

The coins icon in the top left display your current amount of coins.

The dual swords in the top left indicate kills that you've received.

The skull icon in the top left indicates your death count.

The hand icon in the top left indicates your assists. An assist occurs if an ally gets the kill, but you assisted in killing the enemy hero(es).

All the bottom left icons display your upgrades.

That's about all I can say. There are so many more tips, but I'll leave them for another time. Good luck, and hope you people who haven't joined yet, will in fact join!
