Recoil? ._.

If gun recoil matched gun power, players all over Pixel Gun would be playing like this:
Cannon_recoil.gif

All jokes aside, the idea is actually quite nice and would discourage constant use of items with extremely high power. However, I feel that the recoil programming could be a bit hard to get started. After all, would weapons like the Armageddon need recoil with force of Anti-Gravity Gun blasts or would there be a need to add a new kind of knock-back system specifically for all gun types.
(Perhaps I'm overthinking this a bit ^_^ )

I guess it's easy to make recoil script just change player camera when fire the weapon.
The reason I need recoil because peacemaker doesn't have recoil at all, this minigun have a lot of ammo with no recoil and high damage I could said it's OP if the player are good at this weapon.

FYI, rocket launchers actually don't have much recoil, after all, they are "recoilless guns". Most of the recoil is dispersed in the exhaust opening at the back of the weapon.

Firing a PSR, Mech, Anti, and other AOE weapons be like...

A PSR would have a dreadful amount of recoil. The Mech would have a lot less due to its mass. The Anti would send you flying. The Armageddon would have just as much as an AR. The shotguns would have a lot. The Peacemaker and the C Laser Cannon would send you flying backwards. Nuff said.

Crystal laser cannon be making you go from hell to heaven in a matter of seconds

The crystal laser cannon shoots lasers which is not matter. Same with the psr. So they wont have any recoil. Thats like saying using a torchlight will have recoil.

I understand what you meant, but how would a Torchlight have recoil? I mean if you're classifying a Torchlight as a Melee, then it wouldn't make sense. Plain logic.

This is a good idea, but it would sadly cause a LOT of balance issues. But ignoring that, lets get some basic physics in here.

Momentum is changed by impulse (impulse is to momentum as acceleration is to velocity) and this impulse would have the same magnitude on your body, but in the opposite direction. Momentum is the product of mass and velocity (so mass*velocity=momentum). However, the impulse wouldn't move you directly. Instead, it would move the weapon, which would then move you. So weapons with a large mass (like Big Buddy) would have LESS recoil, because the weapon's large mass would reduce the speed at which it moved. Additionally, the impulse would be equal to the impulse the projectile shot received. As a rough guesstimate, the Big Buddy would have about as much of an impulse as elephant hunter. Although the cannonball is much bigger, it is also traveling MUCH MUCH slower. So big buddy would have minimal recoil. As mentioned earlier, rocket launchers would have almost no recoil, since the impulse is instead exerted upon the air behind the weapon (and not the weapon itself). Additionally, all laser weapons would have NO recoil, since no matter is being shot. Since no matter is being shot, momentum is zero (zero*x=0). This would also include anti-gravity, as there is (again) no matter being shot. This means sniper rifles would have the most recoil, followed by shotguns, and ending with machine guns. Also, peacemaker would have relatively low recoil because of its incredibly large mass. None of this is 100%, as everyone makes mistakes, but to my knowledge this is all accurate

O.o that freaking knowledge tho...
